Duhamel Watershed Society believes in the creation of long-term watershed stewardship that prioritizes fresh water quality and community safety within a paradigm that collaborates with all social, ecological and economic interests.
Duhamel Watershed Society is an organization of community members from the North Shore and Nelson areas. The society was established in the summer of 2013 to examine the relationship between land management activities and ecological consequences within the Duhamel creek watershed and to develop long term sustainable solutions. The membership consists of approximately 100 local citizens, 3 water users groups that total over 600 water users.
